PLAY will start at 9.30am.  The day will finish at about 5.00pm after the prize giving; this will be as soon as possible after the last round finishes.

We expect that the U8 and U10 sections will have quicker rounds and so may have an earlier prize-giving.

TIME CONTROL is 20 minutes for each player plus 5 seconds per move; there will be 6 rounds. All players will play in all rounds (except for byes). E.P.S.C.A. Rapidplay rules will apply:

BRING packed lunch, drinks and BRING something to do between rounds. We plan for REFRESHMENTS to be available throughout the day. There will also be a CHESS SHOP in the morning selling books, sets and other items.

SUPERVISION: We will be responsible for players' safety and behaviour only in the playing rooms.  Please arrange for the players to be supervised by a parent, carer or other adult in the rest area and especially outside.

PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the first three places in each section. Other prizes will be awarded according to the size of the entry. Sections may be amalgamated if insufficient entries are received.
