PLAY will start at 9.30am.  The day will finish at about 5.00pm after the prize giving; this will be as soon as possible after the last round finishes.

We expect that the U8 and U10 sections will have quicker rounds and so may have an earlier prize-giving.

BRING packed lunch, drinks and BRING something to do between rounds. We plan for REFRESHMENTS to be available throughout the day. There will also be a CHESS SHOP in the morning selling books, sets and other items.

SUPERVISION: We will be responsible for players' safety and behaviour only in the playing rooms.  Please arrange for the players to be supervised by a parent, carer or other adult in the rest area and especially outside.

PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the first three places in each section. Other prizes will be awarded according to the size of the entry. Sections may be amalgamated if insufficient entries are received.

From Torquay/Paignton follow signs for Brixham. You will pass the "Windy Corner" lights, the War Memorial on Churston Common and Churston Golf Club. Take the right turn just after the Golf Club and the bus stops. Churston Ferrers Grammar School is on the left and children should enter through the second entrance marked Staff Car Park.
